Just received an e-mail from Google Analytics inviting me to try out Google Adwords and avial of a PhP 1,000 coupon.

Adwords is Google’s flagship contextual advertising product and main source of its multi-billion dollar revenue which was estimated to be around $21 billion in 2008. The program offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads.

The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Comprising of short text advertisements consisting of one title line and two content text lines or Image ads of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes, Adwords proves to be a very powerful tool in marketing anything over the internet.

The ads are normally displayed along with search results when someone searches Google using one of your keywords and allows you to reach a targeted audience that is already interested in your business. Advertisers can also choose to display ads on numerous content sites in the growing Google Network.

Advertisers can choose from a wide variety of standard ad formats, including text, image, and video ads, and can easily track ad performance using the reports available in their account.

Advertisers will be charged for advertising that exceeds the promotional credit. Advertisers will need to suspend their ads if they do not wish to receive additional charges beyond the free credit amount. Subject to ad approval, valid registration and acceptance of the Google AdWords Program standard terms and conditions. The promotional credit is non-transferable and may not be sold or bartered. Offer may be revoked at any time for any reason by Google Inc. One promotional credit per customer. Advertisers with self-managed signup accounts are subject to a PhP300 activation fee. Offer void where prohibited by law. Offer expires July 17, 2009. Please note: After the promotional credit has been exhausted, your campaigns will continue to accrue clicks for which the costs will be charged to your credit card. If you don’t want to be charged for additional clicks, you can pause your campaigns at any time.
