This site is about the author's obviously biased, first-hand accounts of his elaborate and sinister plans for world domination. Within this cyberspace entity lies Archon Digital's previously untold undertakings to commit himself to gain a higher level of being (read as: pagerank and moolah!) and his miserable failures which led him to instead shoot for his minor goal of becoming a successful internet entrepreneur. Archon Digital is a graphic designer's personal site, blog and portfolio site where the author writes about life, art, design, technology, politics, the internet and the simplest crack humor that would make up his otherwise overloaded and stressful day.

After talking about being feeling good to be Pinoy, it seems that some have had worse experiences right in my own beloved homeland where fellowmen are being harassed by my own Filipino-elected public servants. I just read about it from the article, A Bad Round of Golf by JaypeeOnline, where he wrote about the plight of Bambee de la Paz, her father and brother who got beat up to a pulp by Nasser Pangandaman Jr., a Mayor from Lanao Del Sur.

My deepest sympathies to the family of this young girl and I am pledging my support to make this cruelty known more to the Filipino public and to the rest of the world.

This is not a rare incident where a public official went violent, mauled, harrassed or even raped a law-abiding citizen. Public officials like this have no right to take part in ruling our country. I am ashamed of the conduct of this public official who would let out all that anger and violence over a round of golf.

Would anyone of you elect such a public servant? Now that 2010 is fast approaching us, things like this are more bound to happen as more public servants will get exposed and publicized for their deeds. Now if you are a public official like Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr, think first before you act and think of your duty to the country to its citizenry and not of your overblown egos.

“Proud to be Pinoy; Lanao Del Sur Mayor Mauls Golfers”

  1. Darn, that father and son must be investigated at once because being powerful is not an excuse to maul people around the country. Hmpft, super inis ako ha! Grrr…

  3. @Snow: Happy New Year too…

I really feel sick about this issue, it doesn’t makes sense why they had to beat them up like that

@joanjoyce: Oo nga, now they are trying to turn the story around and make them look good.

so much for being a peace adviser…

  4. To me, the incident itself had nothing to do with my pride as a Filipino (because yes, I always have been proud to be Pinoy) and more to do with… exposing, I guess, what kind of society we really have. Not that we didn’t know a lot of our politicians were degenerate, selfish, evil people to begin with, but– incidents like this one help shake us up, force us out of our complacency.

Actually, the response to this incident has made me pretty proud of my fellow Filipinos who’ve been so passionate about spreading the word. :)

  5. @Mia: What’s really sickening is that these things go on in a cycle with one incident after another…

…and then the people will forget after a few months until another fiasco happens which will once again stir us all up… rinse-and-repeat…

On this particular issue, I am very proud that fellow Filipino bloggers came out to create more awareness on this issue and hopefully spark some change that will actually last.

  6. Yup! Let’s hope this one lasts. (The… drive for change, that is, not the trauma the de la Paz family is going through.) Unlike regular word-of-mouth, blogs have permalinks, after all…
