Theme Development: Where It All Began

This is the main goal for the next three months on Archon Digital, to publish a WordPress theme for public consumption.

Here is a checklist of what I plan to include in this project and my progress in learning and applying these capabilities:

theme options panel – (30%) I am still learning how to create an option panel for the theme
fully widgetized layout – (100%) It turned out to be pretty easy to do and I actually overdone it on my previous theme as I made almost every part of the site widgetized.
custom fields - (100%) Most of my other projects involved extensive use of custom fields and the needed conditional tags for its implementation.
custom write panel - (20%) Just started to learn how this can be done without haing to install an external plugin.

In three months time we will see how this all turns out.
