This site is about the author's obviously biased, first-hand accounts of his elaborate and sinister plans for world domination. Within this cyberspace entity lies Archon Digital's previously untold undertakings to commit himself to gain a higher level of being (read as: pagerank and moolah!) and his miserable failures which led him to instead shoot for his minor goal of becoming a successful internet entrepreneur. Archon Digital is a graphic designer's personal site, blog and portfolio site where the author writes about life, art, design, technology, politics, the internet and the simplest crack humor that would make up his otherwise overloaded and stressful day.

Archon Digital was down for less than 30 minutes this morning due to a system upgrade on the server.

The Ubuntu server hosting this site has upgraded from Gutsy 7.10.1 to 8.04.1 LTS Hardy Heron, a move which was long overdue but was put on hold for the longest time due to technical problems encountered during the first attempt and conflicting schedules on the sysadmin’s part.

Today’s upgrade went smoothly and soon we will evaluate the possibility of migrating all of the sites to a new server running a clean install of Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10.

    Sounds promising. My guys are also upgrading their Ubuntu to the latest release. But running ubuntu server edition is something I really want to do.

    I also see you’re quite busy with your vTiger install. Hehe. I have just completed the pricing model for vTiger – and seriously considering to offer the on-demand model as well. Will check out Slicehost and see if it can support my requirements for on-demand hosted vTiger.

    I have prospects now planning to run vTiger on-deman, with an expected total of 500 users.

    @bloggista: Good luck with your vTiger. Slicehost will be a good and practical approach specially since you have the guys to handle the setup to customize it to your requirements.
