Singalong, my hood.

This is the neighbourhood I grew up in. I go around and take photos around all the time but rarely publish any of them. I had the privilege of moving away during my teen years to study up north, in Baguio, it was one of the best decisions my parents made for me.

Studying up north kept me away for some time, away from getting too exposed to the criminality, the violence and bad company. Being away was enough for me to see how the place has progressed through the years from a safe distance. Singalong has changed a lot, I think it is relatively safer and more peaceful now, compared to back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Others would not agree with my opinion given the recent rise in criminality and drug abuse, but really it was a lot worse back then.

Taken using a Voigtlander Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 Aspherical III lens mounted on a Sony A7SII. See on Flickr for EXIF. First posted on my Instagram.
